We are looking for dedicated employees who have their Certified Behavior Technician (RBT) designation or are interested in obtaining their Certified Behavior Technician (RBT) designation. The RBT credential is a professional credential for paraprofessionals offered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). RBT credentials are required for individuals providing services on any applied behavior analysis (ABA) or insurance-based contracts in Hawaii. This position involves individual work in a school setting with children and young adults diagnosed with autism. BAYADA will pay for your training and provide you with extensive supervision.

  • West Side Maui, Hawaii
  • Up Country Maui, HI
  • South Side Maui, Hawaii
  • Downtown Maui, Hawaii

Flexible hours :

  • Positions include variable hours
    • Day shifts available Monday to Friday
    • Flexible hours according to your availability
    • Saturday shifts available
    • Evening shifts available

  • RBTs are required to commit to a minimum of 2 days per week.

Qualifications for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):

  • One year of experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred

Responsibilities of the Certified Behavior Technician (RBT):

  • Work directly with clients and follow the established treatment plan/behavioral intervention plan for the implementation of skills training and behavior reduction procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective, supportive and therapeutic relationships with clients and families. Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs and attitudes of clients and families.
  • Implement behavior therapy techniques as directed by the behavior services manager and behavior analyst.
  • Document interventions and progress toward goals accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collect behavioral data as specified in the client’s treatment plan.
  • Review data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavioral Analyst to develop program improvement strategies.
  • According to the treatment plan, provide empowerment, training, instruction, and assistance to help the client acquire and maintain skills and achieve identified goals.
  • Provide training and/or support to the client in interpersonal skills, developing and maintaining personal relationships and living in their community.
  • Monitor health and physical condition and report any changes in client’s condition or any other incidents to the office.
